Blow for mini motos

The crackdown of mini motos has been reinforced this week in Hemelhempstead as Police continue their campaign against these bikes being purchased as christmas presents.

5 bikes are going to be publically crushed this week in order to give out the message that Police are not messing about with this campaign.

The bikes which were confiscated around Herts will be crushed at DMC Metal Recycling in Watford next Tuesday.

This is giving out the message to parents warning them not to buy mini motos for their children as this is what it could result in if they are not ridden legally.

On Tuesday riding a mini moto illegally cost a man £600 and six points on his driving licence.

The man, Russell Crane was sentenced at Hemel Hempstead Magistrates Court for illegally riding a mini-moto on playing fields in July.

This case therefore clearly shows that government is not messing about with this crackdown on the bikes and this wil definitely give out a string warning to other members of the community who may think of riding a bike illegally.
