Police in leatherhead have now got two policemen patrolling local hotspots for mini moto riders and also estates which the mini motos could be ridden on. This is to try to crack down on the use of these bikes illegally.
PC stevenson has said that these routine checks are having an impact on the area. Each time they catch someone they can charge them for several offences including licensing, insurance and crash helemet offences.
PC stevenson has also said that whoever he catches riding these bikes illegally will be dealt with very seriously as they are a 'nuisance'.
