On Friday there was loads of snow in Cornwall, first time we had good snow in ages, great opportunity to go out on my midi moto. It would be so much fun.
One problem is that the bike had a flat battery and would not start. This was a bit annoying but could be solved, i plugged the bike into the mains to charge it up and then I would be off.
I left the bike charging for a couple of hours and took it out, only when I tried to start the bike it showed no signs of starting. Even though it says the battery is fully charged the bike will not start.
Hopefully it is just the spark plug as the bike has not been used for a while.
I'll let you know when i find out whats wrong.
mini moto ticks over but cuts out when i throttle it
i bought a blata mini moto of ebay, which had not been started for a year. i got it to starts and it ticks over perfectly but when i go to pull off it cuts out can anyone help please.
Bike Cuts out, so I have to leave it for a while
I bought a second hand 110cc off road Pit bike yesterday and took it straight out for a ride.
It started first time and worked great, pulls well and the engine sounded like it was having no problems.
After about 20 mins of playing around in the woods it lost power and cut out and would not start again.
I left it for 5 minutes and it started again, it lasted about 1 minute and again lost power and cut out and wouldn't start.
After doing this a couple times I had to leave it for 5 minutes to get about 30 seconds out of it before it died again.
I have 2 screws on the Carb, fuel and air, also a choke. Do I need to adjust these screws to get the optimum mix or is it a different problem.
I dont understand why it worked for so long and then gave up. I am yet to try it again today.

mini moto starting
hi, just bought a mini moto for £35 off ebay and i put the 25:1 fuel mixture in, i have been told this is wrong and i should have put 50:1 in it. anyway a few questions.
1 - the previous owner said it had not been run for a while, so what can i do if this is affecting anything.
2 - what postition does the white plug need to be next to the choke? horizontal or vertical
3 - what is the correct fuel mixture.

STARTING PROBLEMS
Any help regarding starting problems with my Blata. New bike run in (correct fuel mix etc) now running on 50:1 semi synthetic. Seems very hard and difficult to pull start although bike will start, same problem even when warm. been told to add more oil to mix any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

hi! I have a 49cc midi moto but when I rev it the revs drop and it conks out after about 15 seconds but it starts easy every time! I fought it was my mix but its not so I got a new spark plug but it still isnt whats wrong so im now going to try a new coil. does any1 no what could be wrong?
your carb could be blocked
your carb could be blocked or dirty have you checked that or tried to clean it out

hi i have a mini moto all the engine and carb is fine i use to get a spark out of it but now i dont so i bought a new ignition coil and i dont seem to be getting a spark does any one know what it could be or how to test for a spark from the ignition coil? thanks .
putthe sparkplug in the
putthe sparkplug in the copper bit in the coil. pull the pull start gentally enough so you can see a spark.
P.S. DON'T PUT the spark plug in the engine put it against something metal.
Mini Moto 3 shoe clutch
Hello could someone please tell me how i remove a 3 shoe clutch of a mini moto thank you.
3 shoe clutch
all you need to do is secure it with a screw driver so it doesent move when you try yo unloosen it it has a standered legt hand thread, on the bolt.
Then you need to pull it off carefully with a pair of grips.

hi have u tried the spark plug? take the spark plug out then put it back into the slot then get it into posision so you can see the tip of it then pull the pull start and if you see a spark it might b the carb

try to pull it when the choke is on ond if that doesnt work try adjusting your idle screw

try taking out the spark
try taking out the spark plug and then pouring petrol into the slot where the spark plug was put the spark plug back on and hopefully you will get a result

mine was doin exactly the same, try ur fuel mixture, put a bit more petrol in the tank and then keep pullin the pull start until u hear it fire few times, then keep goin and it shoud hopefully start

hi just got mini dirt bike it starts first time when choke is on and keeps running for 3 to 4 minutes then cuts out and i do put the choke of a bit when it heats up and it still starts ok then cuts out again after 3 to 4 minutes my mix is ok and ive checked the fuel lines and there ok spark plug is new and its ok .im stuck can anyone help. just before it cuts out the revs race up a little bit then it just dies on me .

Sounds similar to problem Im having. Mini Dirt bike cuts out when give throttle. As soon as you turn choke down/off and give throttle it cuts out. Replaced carb, checked mixture. Had loads of problems and not yet been able to ride it. Supplier said run it on choke all the time????? Did you buy online??

i just brought a mini moto and started to give it a good clean and check it ova as it was in a bad state. the engine now starts but only wen revs are at full. even then it cuts out and takes tme to start up again. ive adjusted the screw on the carb and it was no good. the engine sounds like a v6 i dont know what to do. im soo puzzled please help. also the clutch does not grip the drum wat can i do

Sounds like you've bought a pile of s****, Neil. I hope you didn't pay much. Have you checked the exhaust? Cleaned the carb? Checked the plug? Don't like th sound of that clutch? Can you just get your money back?

just get a screwdriver and
just get a screwdriver and prize off the old clutch, and then put your new clutch on screw the bolt fingertight, get your spanner/socket on it, and pull the pullstart slowly holding the spanner/socket stil

hiya im no good at these things my mini moto ducatti rep is very very loud i dont think it has an air filter or may have an hole in the exhaust how do i check if it has and= air filter where woud it be on the engine .. .. would be very gratefull for reply
