A 14 year old boy from Jacksonville Florida has been killed whilst riding his mini moto ilegally on the road.
David Durden was killed this month as he was riding his pocket bike on Atlantic boulevard on a Thursday night. The bike was bought for David by his father who bought him the bike dude to better grades and effort put into work at school.
The father says he is now regretting buying the bike and is urging parents who are considering buying these bikes for their kids to ensure that their children are experienced enough to ride the machines and also they have an appropriate place to ride them.
Davids Mother says that she always made David drive close to home and always made him wear a helmet, but this was no help when David was struck by a car and eventually died.
Police are advising the public not to buy these for your children if they have nowhere to ride them, they say this case is liekly to be the first of many unless these are used as they are meant to be used.
