Carlisle police are using other threats in order to stop mini motos being ridden illegally in Carlisle. They have threatened parents and illegal riders of eviction if they are caught, a harsh new tactic enforced by the police hoping that this will decrease the amount of illegal use of these mini motos.
The Police have new methods of catching the criminals with covert surveillance methods and undercover officers to catch the repeat offenders and to stop these menaces on the streets.
Police revelaed this new crackdown on the bikes as they said that they had had more complaints about the illegal use of mini motos and motorcycles more then anything else for a large part of the year.
Specifically Police received around 350 complaints between February and May.
Police are trying to persuade people to phone in if they have a problem with the mini motos and also if they know who is riding these illegally, even if they want to remain anonymous. Police are also doing plain clothes work and surveillance missions in a bid to catch the offenders using their bikes illegally.
