Police in Levenmouth were shocked to find out that it is more likely for a 5 year old pupil in levenmouth to have a mini moto rather then a pushbike.

Police visited every school in Levenmouth to warn children of the dangers of riding mini motos, when they asked a class of 20 five year old children how many owned mini motos round 50% of pupils put their hands up. However when the police asked how many pupils owned pushbikes this figure was only 25%.

Also one incident involving police saw a 2 year old riding a mini moto whilst his father walked beside him! these vehicles which are capable of over 30mph are clearly not safe for a 2 year old child to ride.

This shows that there is a serious problem with mini motos being used unsafely by younger children, and it is due to this that the police are seizing mini motos in the area.

Once seized the owners will have to pay a £105 release fee + £12 for every day that the bike has been in storage.

However with the price of mini motos on the internet at an all time low with bikes available for under £100 these fines are it really seen as a deterrant for riders of mini motos.
