A father and son from rossendale are setiing out to travel around britain on monkey bikes!
Rob Nuttall, 40, and his 18 year old son Sam are using their monkey bikes to travel around 5,000 miles.
The slightly modified monkey bikes, with extended handle bars will be used by the pair and travel roughly 120 miles a day, the journey will take them around 6 weeks to complete but Rob is doing this for the charity macmillan cancer support.
This journey started at blackpool tower on saturday, as the pair set off on their 110cc monkey bikes. They are hoping to return to the same point on August 12th.
Rob who is a former motorbike owner sold his 1200cc Yamaha to buy the monkey bikes, which are somewhat different to his former bike has said that the task will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination.
"Just imagine riding for around 120 miles with your bum 25 inches off the ground."
He has also said that the journey will not be comfortable but then wheres the challenge in doing it on a luxury larger motorcycle.
