Recently there have been a surge of people buying mini motos and using them illegally, with 7 reported deaths since mid 2004, 5 of these deaths being youths under 15 years of age.
The Government however are targeting all bikers because of this problem, and have said that they were thinking of introducing speed restrictors on larger motorcycles.
As you can imagine, this is not going down very well with motorcyclists who have said that they do not want to be 'tarred with the mini moto brush' and that mini moto riders in no way represent the biking community.
Bikers across the country have said that government should not be targeting the law abiding bikers because of mini moto riders, but should be targeting the parents of the children who ride these bikes.
