A Male from Sheffield is urging police and councils in the area to build a race track where mini motos can be ridden legally. This is after Ryszard Szumsky, from Woodthorpe Road, Woodthorpe has said that his suburb is being over run with people riding mini motos and other off road bikes illegally.
This plea came after a fleet of faulty mini moto bikes were stolen from a shipping container at sheffield wholesalers on Parkway avenue.
The bikes were recalled by the manufacturer after they were said to pose problems and risks to their riders. However they were stolen before they could be returned.
With Christmas approaching quickly police are worried that these dangerous vehicles will now be sold as christmas presents on the black market.
Mr Szumsky has said that there was a temporary stop to this nuisance after the initial crackdown on mini motos but complains that now the bikes are out in force again.
He argues that it is not fair to just tell the kids that they cant ride their mini motos, he believes it would be better if they built a facility especially for these types of bikes where kids to go to ride in a controlled environment and ride their bikes legally.
However the track would not just be built for kids, people as old as 35 have been caught riding these bikes illegally, on the other end of the scale children as young as five have been caught riding illegal mini motos in the area.
