For one 13 year old boy the new year has not gotten off to a great start after seeing police seize and take away his mini motorbike which is likely to be crushed.
The young boy was in tears after watching police remove the motorbike from his home in Marlborough.
He was given 14 days to produce documents for the motorbike including road tax, insurance notes and a valid MOT certificate, if they were not produced by this date the youngster was informed the bike would be crushed.
Still the police have to deal with many incidents of mini motos and off road motorbikes being ridden illegally, and this incident goes to show they are not messing about anymore.
The criminals also have to pay the standard recovery charge of £105 and £12 per day that the bike is impounded.
Youngsters also face points on their driving lisences when they receive them if caught riding a mini moto illegally.
