Police In Swindon have been cracking down on illegal mini moto gangs. These are groups of youths which are racing around public footpaths and roads on the bikes are being targeted by Police.
6 Stolen mini motos were seized from these groups during the operation.
The Police were using BMW off road motorcycles which, chasing kids down alleyways and on public roads in order to catch these illegal riders.
This crackdown was due to a number of complaints by residents in North Swindon, complaining of noise and unsafe riding.
Children as young as ten were caught using these bikes illegally, it seems that parents think that these mini motos are toys, and not realising how dangerous they can be without correct safety equipment and training.
