Albert Jones, the owner of Yarmouth Pleasure beach is facing a possible insurance claim after a mini moto rider was injured whilst riding on wasteland which Jones owned.
The wasteland was a former caravan site next to the pleasure beach. Jones has said that the rider was riding on the wasteland despite being told numerous times not to do so.
Jones has received a letter off the parents of the youth stating that he is liable for this accident after the youth popped the tyre of the mini moto which he was riding after he rode over a bottle.
A shocked Mr Jones has said that he is not responsible for the accident, he has stated the site is cleaned regularly and that mini moto riders should not even be on the site in the first place. He said 'We've told them time and time again not to go there'.
Sgt Simon Atherton, from Norfolk police has told reporters that these sites are quite popular with mini moto riders but as they are on private property, police powers are limited.
He also said that many of these riders ride with no safety gear and therefore it is inevitable that someone was going to get injured on these bikes.
