Police in Ashington made a special delivery on christmas morning after catching a man riding a mini moto whilst being twice over the legal alcohol limit.
The man was delivering his childrens christmas present to their house, and was caught at 5.45am on christmas day.
Peter Taylor was spotted riding the mini moto along the road without a helmet and carrying a can of petrol in one of his hands when he was stopped by a police car.
Alcohol could be smelt on his breath and after being breath tested was found to have 83mg of alcohol in his system for every 100mg of blood.
Taylor received a £115 fine for drink driving, £115 for driving without insurance as well as a £15 surcharge. Taylor also got a 12 month driving ban although he does not actually possess a licence.
