A 14 year old boy was injured when riding a mini bike on the Cayman Islands. The youth was flown from Grand Cayman to Miami this past weekend to have treatment for his injuries.
The teen was riding his mini moto along Stepping stone drive when he fell off at around 7pm last Friday. It is not clear whether the mini bike was road legal i.e. registered and licenced. Vehicles like this are legal to ride on Cayman Island roads but they must be registered and licenced beforehand.
Police have said that he was with a group of friends taking in turns on the pocket bike when he lost control and fell off, luckily no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
