5 year old mini moto riders caught

Police have stopped two mini moto riders aged 5 years old buzzing around the streets if Aberdeen.

The pair were pulled by police originally as they were spotted riding around on the roads, which is obviously illegal as these bikes are not intended for road use.

When Police stopped the pair, to their amazement, they turned out to be 5 years old. At this age Police are not allowed to do anything about the crime, as the children are 'not old enough to be responsible for their actions'.

The pair were therefore let off for their riding, however the parents were informed.

It is worrying to see children of this age being allowed to ride around the streets on such vehicles, as they can be very unsafe and dangerous.

The recommended age for these bikes is 14 (although in a controlled environment I believe riding should start at a younger age) and therefore to see 5 year olds riding around the streets is quite shocking.
