Off road bikers who are bringing misery to those who are living in Wigan are now being targeted under a new police operation.
All the hotspot areas for illegal mini moto use have now had signgs put up which warn riders that there is a huge fine for using illegal bikes in this area, and also warning that bikes will be seized and crushed.
This scheme has come after the death of six people in Greater Manchester were killed last year due to riding these bikes illegally.
Another scheme which Graham Stringer MP is trying to put into place is the registration of off road vehicles with the DVLA. This means that all off road bikes and quads will need to be registered and carry number plates.
The problem in Wigan is huge, and last summer alone Police in Wigan issued 28 summons, 62 fines, and seized 47 motorcycles which were being used illegally.
According to Police these bikes are more then just a nuisance, they are causing misery for whole communities and they need to be dealt with.

I think the goverment should buit a track in Wigan so that all the bikes can be free to ride because they're expensive! My friends got into a fight with county police for crushihng his brand motobike which he was just testing in his street. It cost him £300. And he had only just got it. I know theyre dangerous but-I want some tips - were can I ride my sons mini motorbike so It dont get crushed cause I payed over £100 and im def. not getting mine crushed!

ok 1st police can kiss my ass. there doing nothing but breaking our balls from stopping us that ride. riding the creeks and paddocks is fine where not harming anyone shod give us a set time limit to ride til and some cop to watch out for us til time has come to go home or atleast something like that.. but in my books. ride ride ride road/street/freeway/sidewalk u name it. ride for life
